The reason why I stopped buying pirated/bootleg gunplas from 2004-2011

Hi there, it's been awhile since my last post & update about the STK Barad's Command Wolf in July.. Sorry about not being able to update frequently.

So, for today, I'll be writing about the reason why I stopped purchasing pirated/bootleg gunplas from year 2004 - August 2011.

My very "last" piece of gunpla I got in 2004 as a birthday gift, was the MG Full Armor ZZ Gundam. I mean, a MG, Master Grade, at rm40. Where in the heck, could you get that even today?

With that said, let's see the photos. You could also see the quality of the product here.

Head Shot: You could see some detail lost and teh super glue mark there..

Chest Armor Missile Rack

Had to use super glue to make sure the missiles stay where it is as they either pop out or can't fit in properly

Body without the arm: You could see the quality of the plastic and also nurb marks

Shoulder Armor

Arm

Arm Joint: Notice the joints don't really fit in well..

Forearm: Again, plastic quality and parts not fitting in properly

That's about it for the MG Full Armor ZZ Gun..dam..?

I don't know which brand is this one since I don't know where I placed the box or perhaps I have collapsed it ..Since the box is quite big.

While in the process of assembling this back in 2004, like i mentioned, super glue is needed and..I also hammered and even stepped on the parts to make them fit. Yes, hammered & stepped on it.

Despite going through all those, there were no broken parts or parts that have snapped, everything stayed as it is actually. The huge mega beam cannon was hell to build so I didn't assemble it and just placed this guy with the missile rack instead.

Plastic quality wise, it is thick, and as you can see from the photos above, has some quality problems like the bubble spots or very rough surface.

Plane-lining this one doesn't work that well as it is difficult to rub the ink off.

And yes, this, was my "last" pirated/china bootleg gunpla I had in 2004. Horrible experience with it..

As of now, I'm looking into pirated / 3rd party products as they have improved alot and there are some new companies merging every now and then.

Also, if anyone knows what brand is this from, do let me know, comment on it or..anything. So I could update the tag on it.

I'll call it a day and hope everyone stay tune to more reviews. Thanks for reading and hoped you've enjoyed it. :)
